Amazing facts - general

1. The amount of heat in the Earth’s entire atmosphere is equivalent to the heat present in the first ten feet of the ocean.
2.The flashing lightning bolt is 3 times hotter compared to the sun, seems like the sun also has to face competition.
3.The flashing lightning bolt is 3 times hotter compared to the sun, seems like the sun also has to face competition.
4.Stephen Hawking was born on January 8, 1942, 300 years to the day after the death of Galileo.
5. Einstein's famous theory of relativity, E=mc^2 is also used in GPS on the car.
6.You can convert graphite into diamond by applying a temperature of 3000 Celsius and pressure of 100,000 atm.
7.The bark of the redwood tree is fireproof.
8.The Atlantic Ocean grows at about the same rate as your fingernails.
9.The only rock that floats in water is pumice. Think of Ramayana.
10.A solar panel 100 miles by 100 miles (161x161km) in the Mojave Desert (USA) could replace all the coal now burned to generate electricity in the entire U.S.

Facts-chemistry

Sorry for make you wait, but I am out of station now.

So today there are some chemistry facts for you

1. HCl is not the strongest acid, it is in fact it is a superacid named fluroantimonic acid.

2. Mercury is highly toxic for human body, but it is widely used in medical instruments like thermometer, sphygmomanometer, etc.

4.Unlike many substances, water expands as it freezes. An ice cube takes up about 9% more volume than the water used to make it.

5. Chemical name of water is dihydrogen monoxide.

6. Rarest element on the earth's crust is astatine.

7. A rubber tyre is technically a one single, giant complex polymer.

Electricity

Electricity is a electromagnetic field energy.Electricity is a type of energy that can build up in one place or flow from one place to another. When electricity gathers in one place it is known as static electricity (the word static means something that does not move); electricity that moves from one place to another is called current electricity.
In simplest way electricity comes from
Movement of electrons.

Electric current
Just like air or water current flow of electricity us electric current.
Conventional current flows from positive to negative terminal.

Electric circuit
A continuous and closed(ie complete) path of an electrical current is called electric circuit.
There are several component in a circuit bu the simplest are
     Wire/conductor- conducting medium for current
PS/battery/cell- voltage source creates potential difference in circuit.
     Switch- open and close circuit
     Resistors- create resistance in circuit
Transistor- amplify and switch electric current and power.
Capacitors- it store elctrical energy temporarily.

General terms

                               Viscosity
It refers as 'thickness' of a liquid. It is resistance of liquid to flow.

                            Mass

The mass of an object is a fundamental property of the object; a numerical measure of its inertia; a fundamental measure of the amount of matter in the object.

                          Weight

The weight of an object is defined as the force of gravity on the object and may be calculated as the mass times the acceleration of gravity, w = mg. Since the weight is a force, its SI unit is the newton.

                           Density

It is mass of the matter present in a fix volume.

Energy

                              Energy

We sometimes describe energy as 'ability to do work' like spinning, running, heating etc. All these activities need energy. By the law of conservation Energy can't be created nor be destroyed e.g. if you switch on the fan the electrical energy is converted into kinetic (motion) energy and heat energy.
The main source of energy is the sun,
The light energy of sun is converted into chemical energy and used by plants which then eaten by us. There are many type of energies around us-

1.  Kinetic energy  is energy acquired a                object when it gain motion for example I      started walking then I gained kinetic              energy.
2.  Potential energy  is latent energy of                stationary object which when force is            applied convert into kinetic or any other      form of energy.
There are many more types of energies but I'll explain it later.

                               Work
Work is done when force is applied to an object and it displaces from its initial place.
It is usually expressed as (W).

                               Power
Power is rate of doing work e.g. two boys climbs a hill one did it faster than she said to be possess more power.

Quantum mechanics

Quantum mechanics is a branch of physics deals with description of physical phenomena at atomic and sub-atomic level. It state that many concepts concerned with physical objects and energy behave differently. It provides accurate description of behavior of photon, electron etc.

It's applications include super conducting magnet, LEDs and lasers and description for many biological and physical phenomena.

Max Planck is considered as father of quantum theory as he corrected Ludwig Boltzman and Wien's law.

He also proposed the formula:
E= hv, where E is energy element and v is frequency. h is Planck's constant.

Gravity

Gravity is a natural phenomenon. Accurately described by Albert Einstein in 1915. Every object in universe is exerting force on other objects. Gravity is directly proportional to Mass (sometimes refers as weight, in normal conversation) that means heavier the object will be more gravitational force it will exert. Gravity is also indirectly proportional to distance     i.e. more the distance will be lesser force it exert.

However gravity is attractive force (it always attract other object). Earth is constantly attracting you towards the surface. The force an object exert on the other can be calculated by:
            F=G×M×m/r×r
Where G is gravitational constant equals
6.674×10^-11 Nm^2/kg^2

Using this formula scientists accepted 9.80665 m/s as gravitational force of earth.

According to Newton's 3rd law every action has equal and opposite reaction. If earth attract some object it move towards it till they collide though If the object is smaller it will move relatively fast than earth.

It raisen a question
Why moon doesn't collide with earth?

I'll answer that for sure but in another blog.

Reasons

It's being a boredom for me to have nobody matching my curiosity for science around me. So now I started this blog for sharing my knowledge and experience to my reader.
